A Honey Possum feeds on Australian native flowers Banksia Coccinea and Banksia Formosa. This illustration is one of the artworks I created for children’s book “Snuggled Away” written by Cate Storey.
The brief was to have fun with the flowers - and I certainly did! Australian flora is so full of colour and incredible variety! I also enjoyed developing the texture and character of the Honey Possum. The original artwork was mixed media and acrylic.
