How to commission a portrait.

  • STEP 1.

Which of my artworks are your favourites? Options include mixed media work, black & white pencil drawing or a painting on canvas.

Do you have a specific colour in your home decor you would like incorporated? Don’t worry, I will guide you through this process.

  • STEP 2.

Where possible, send multiple, good quality photos of the subjects. If you only have one image, or it’s low quality - please contact me and I will advise if I can work from this.

I can even arrange several people together from different photos and add in other elements.

  • STEP 3.

It usually takes about 6 weeks to finish your portrait. If your portrait is needed urgently, please contact me and I will let you know if I can speed up the process.

You will receive a progress shot when the artwork has progressed to a stage that I am happy with.

  • STEP 4.

Sometimes after I present my clients the finished artwork, there may be very small adjustments to be made. I have a contract that we sign before I start a commission and it clearly stipulates your rights and responsibilites. Please feel free to contact me if you’d like a copy.

Portrait Inspo.

You’d be surprised at the badly lit, no make-up, non-glamourous photos that many of these artworks were created from. Don’t be afraid to send through any odd pics because you love the angle or the feeling of it.
