"Night Hunter" Fine Art Print from Snuggled Away
Bouncing and leaping and crunching on bone.
I really wanted to show the typical characteristics of the quoll, but also how visually appealing it is with it’s spotted coat, lithe tail and pointed nose. This illustration is one of the artworks I created for children’s book “Snuggled Away” written by Cate Storey.
It was important to Cate of Wet Season Books that the bone look realistic in keeping with our mission to present Australian wildlife accurately to children. I kept the background simple to offset the texture of the quoll’s fur and then had fun with the vines and branches around the moon and stars.
