"Moonlit Reflections" Fine Art Print from Snuggled Away
Using his bill to seek luscious crayfish.
There are some of my favourite blues and turquoises in this painting. I wanted to convey the ripples of the water under a watery moon - perhaps what it might look like from under the water. This illustration is one of the artworks I created for children’s book “Snuggled Away” written by Cate Storey.
It was important to portray the Glenelg spiny crayfish accurately, while keeping it from looking intimidating. You can imagine the elusive platypus diving into the water on a peaceful night like this.
