As quick pygmy possum scurries away.
In this illustration I wanted to convey the size of the powerful owl which is quite impressive as compared to it’s tiny companion, but also give the pygmy possum quite a lot of room to flee the scene! It’s one of the artworks I created for children’s book “Snuggled Away” written by Cate Storey.
The owl, with it’s beautiful markings on it’s body and wings, looks as though it’s seen something else as is rushing towards it. It was fun to amp up the colour in the night sky and the banksias to make the animals come alive!
