I really played up the perspective with the native banksia flowers here to show how tiny the honey possum is. This illustration is one of the artworks I created for children’s book “Snuggled Away” written by Cate Storey.
As it’s a night-time scene, the flowers look incredibly vivid in the moonlight, but the honey possum is still the star of the show as she licks the sweet nectar.
