Australian’s know possums so well, seeing them run across roof-tops and wires in our city suburbs, they are such a part of our cultural phenomena. Ringtail possums are such dedicated mothers, rangling their babies as they scurry across branches in the night.
This artwork is one of the paintings I created for children’s book “Snuggled Away” written by Cate Storey. I loved the complimentary tones of the possums fur against the dark blue of the night sky and the starry touches of eucalyptus blossoms, twinkling with the stars in the moonlight.
